Epic are releasing Unreal Tournament III later this year, and the delay has been good marketing as the wait has tempted me into buying several games based on the same Unreal engine.
The first is Bioshock, a very smooth game with stylish graphics and music to fit its story, and unusual gameplay compared to the other first-person shooters that I have played. It involves a combination of hand (on the left) and hand-held (on the right) weapons, with a right-click to toggle between them. My favourite pair was a freezing effect, followed by a crossbow.
A couple of drawbacks are that it doesn’t run in Linux, and it is a sequential game. Individually these are fine, but together they mean that I’m unlikely to play though Bioshock often because of the hassle of having to reboot to play it, unlike say Quake IV.
